039 AHP Student Discussion

039 AHP Student Discussion

June 15, 2021

This 2 hour discussion focuses on the lived experiences of students from ethnically diverse, LGBTQIA+ and disability backgrounds. The students talk openly and honestly about their placement and education experiences and at times it is emotional and impactful. We discuss how clinical educators can create more of an inclusive, safe and supportive placement There is no place for racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia or discrimination of any kind in our society and especially our healthcare and education systems. We must do better.

Truly grateful to these absolute superstar students - blessed to have shared this space with them.
